Aroza Sanjana began her career in real estate as a salesperson in 2003. Two years later, she established her own brokerage firm, Atlantic Realty Partners, which specialized in marketing and sales for new developments all over New York City. Aroza joined the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and was soon after accredited as a REBNY New York Residential Specialist (NYRS). Wanting to expand further, she and her husband Jose purchased Warren Lewis Realty. Aroza's vision was to grow the firm while retaining the independent spirit that's unique to a small business. In May 2012, Aroza did just that. Warren Lewis became part of the Sotheby's International REALTOR® network, affording her clients access to a worldwide audience and unparalleled marketing and technology tools that make it one of the most important brands in Brooklyn Real Estate. “Expansion is vital to the firm's energy,” she says. “Our business now encompasses areas beyond Brownstone Brooklyn, traditionally supported from the Park Slope office, with the opening of a second office in Williamsburg earlier this year.” In 2019, Aroza worked to open a third office in Cobble Hill when she merged Warren Lewis Sothebys International Realty with Brooklyn Bridge Realty, rebranding under her new firm name - Avenue Sothebys International Realty.Aroza's success is due to her very simple yet effective motto: Do the Right Thing.
In every transaction and interaction, she always determines the best way to proceed and follows through without wavering. To her, integrity and respect are the most important values of all, both in her business and personal life.Born in India and raised all over the world, Aroza spent some of her childhood in the Middle East and England before finally settling with her family in New York City at age 12. She attended Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan then studied Psychology and Economics at Barnard College. Aroza went on to work at AT&T in the new computer division, and subsequently joined MCI where she was ultimately the executive of a Strategic Business Unit overseeing 11 managers and 150+ salespeople, and managing clients across the Eastern Region.
During this time, she earned her MBA from Fordham University.Aroza is as committed to her profession as she is to her personal life. In 2012, she was elected REBNY Brooklyn Committee Co-Chair; plus she's a Certified Negotiating Expert (CNE) who actively puts her skills to use in support of her team and their clients. Aroza is also the proud mother of two sons, Lorenzo and Armando. She spends much of her time outside of the office as an advocate for autism and education. Aroza's favorite pastime is spending time with her family and is passionate about gardening and decorating.Committees: Residential Brokerage Brooklyn Committee, Residential Brokerage NYRS Designation Management Division, Residential Brokerage New York Residential Specialist Executive Committee, NYRS Graduates, Certified Negotiation Expert, Arbitration BoardGraduate Designations: New York Residential Specialist, New York Residential Specialist
Growing up in New York City for Aroza was very Manhattan-centric. First venturing into Brooklyn while attending College at Columbia University, she recalled, "I was caught off guard, I unexpectedly discovered endless blocks of beautiful architecture and quieter streets." She later discovered that people in Brooklyn gave you the impression that everyone knew each other, as friends often stopped each other on the street and chatted with one another, people just smiled as they passed you on the block. Aroza returned to Brooklyn in the early 2000s and set up her brokerage at the crossroads of Brownstone Brooklyn. "Whether you like Park Slope, Bed Stuy, Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Crown Heights, Boerum Hill, Red Hook, Bay Ridge, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Dumbo, or Brooklyn Heights, they are each a neighborhood of people that have incredible pride in their towns. Each of these towns has its own special algorithm of history, architecture, and community. I am incredibly proud of becoming a small part of the fabric of Brooklyn, its history, and its future."
