Buddy Rego is a real estate developer of commercial and residential condominiums and single-family homes in Bermuda and Turks and Caicos. He commenced his real estate career working in the family business, Rego Limited, established in 1949. Following University, Buddy worked in Hong Kong for over 5 years in Foreign Exchange and Precious Metal markets.
In 1983, Buddy returned to Bermuda to take on the role of President at Rego REALTOR® Ltd. In December 2006, the company was invited to join the prestigious Sotheby's International Realty network. Additionally, in 1993, Buddy founded Turks and Caicos Sotheby’s International Realty.
Buddy is internationally recognized as a real estate leader and remains highly invested in the Bermuda community. He has previously served as the Commodore of the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club and as the President of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce (COC) and President of the Real Estate Division of COC, where he remains a committee member.
Currently, Buddy serves as a Board Member for Habitat for Humanity and is actively involved in several condominium association boards.
In his personal time, Buddy enjoys sailing and being on the water, playing guitar, golfing, and traveling
