Early Roots and Educational Background
Hailing from the picturesque foothills of North Carolina in the quaint town of Elkin, Jason McCree Gentry developed a profound appreciation for the built environment from a young age. His journey led him to the thriving city of Charlotte, where he pursued and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2006.
Professional Journey
Jason honed his skills by contributing to renowned architecture firms Jenkins • Peer Architects and Perkins+Will, showcasing a dedication to his craft. In 2009, he expanded his expertise by obtaining his real estate license, seamlessly combining his architectural knowledge with a deep understanding of the real estate landscape.

Embodying the ethos of giving back, Jason assumed the role of the youngest president in the history of the Canopy REALTOR® Association in 2018. During his tenure, the organization underwent a transformative rebranding, built a cutting-edge 56,000-square-foot LEED Silver headquarters and experienced a substantial 30% membership growth through strategic acquisitions. Jason continues to contribute to the real estate community by serving the National Association of REALTOR® and North Carolina REALTOR®.
Personal Pursuits
Away from his professional commitments, Jason finds solace in his beach home in Charleston, South Carolina, as an esteemed member of the Kiawah Island Club. His diverse interests include global travel, appreciation of fine wines and dining, bourbon, biking, volleyball and spending quality time with friends and family.

Jason’s Charlotte
Having moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2001 I have witnessed watching the Queen City transform from a small town to a world-class metropolitan region. Located central on the east coast between New York and Miami, I would argue we have the best recipe of ingredients for business and to call home! Charlotte experiences all four weather seasons, yet it neither gets too hot nor too cold. It’s an easy drive to our majestic Blue Ridge Mountains to the west and to our pristine shoreline along our Outer Banks to the east. Charlotte provides a little bit of everything when it comes to arts, entertainment, and sports including NBA (Hornets), NFL (Panthers), MLS (Charlotte FC), and MiLB (Knights) all in our downtown core, or as we like to call it – UPTOWN! To the north and south of the city, we have Lake Norman and Lake Wylie, respectively. I guarantee we have something for everyone, and I can’t wait to show you all the reasons I love calling Charlotte home!
