Cherry’s Providence, RI, and the Farm Coast
I grew up in Providence, RI, and spent summers by the ocean in Little Compton, RI, but it wasn't until I lived away from RI that I understood how special and unique our beautiful corner of the planet is! You will often find Providence on the perennial “Best Places to Live” lists - from the incredible restaurants to the higher education institutions to the proximity to the ocean - the quality of life in Providence is hard to beat. The Farm Coast is a rural stretch of shoreline 45 minutes southeast of Providence that runs along the Southern New England coast, made up of Tiverton and Little Compton, RI, and Westport and South Dartmouth, MA. Think of open fields framed by ancient stone walls that stretch down to the ocean. The Farm Coast is not a place to see and be seen, but rather a place that offers a slower pace of living - with beautiful beaches, endless ocean activities, and an amazing bounty of fresh farm produce and freshly caught seafood. Heaven!
